The settlement of claims or separation agreements, where the consideration paid or received by the university exceeds $100,000, is subject to the approval of General Counsel. Arrangements for the release of all claims and separation agreements, regardless of the amount of consideration, must be made in a format approved by the General Council. The settlement of claims and separation agreements by the President is subject to adequate funding. General Counsel is empowered to settle claims and disputes if the consideration paid or received by the university has a value of less than or less than $500,000. All disputes are reviewed and approved by General Counsel. It also contains provisions for standard and written work instructions for a list of chemicals and describes the minimum personal protective equipment for laboratories. Key controllers should check standard work instructions and assess whether personal protective equipment is suitable for laboratory procedures. Note: Lab Safety Principles / IIPP courses, completed before 24 September 2012, do not comply with the agreement. All laboratory employees must prove the UC Laboratory Safety Fundamentals eCourse, published by UCOP in 2013. To download a PDF file of the UC agreement, go to cenm.ag/agreement.
