The FlaWARN Steering Committee clarified that the MAA is not intended to deal with or resolve all situations and laws that may arise. The MAA provides other members with a prompt and anticipated indication of good faith from a responsible party that the distribution company understands and approves of the underlying concepts and provisions (including reimbursement) for mutual assistance. The next link is the Mutual Aid Agreement (MAA), which aims to facilitate a rapid emergency response between the public services of Flawarn members. The signature of the MAA is not mandatory for the flawarn basic registration. However, members are invited to sign and submit the agreement as soon as possible. The Steering Committee believes that it is wise to keep the MAA as simple and as short as possible. We are delighted with your support. This was evident during the very active hurricane season in 2005. . . .
